Daburn’s compact MTWA4 series low-power DC/DC 3.5 watt converters feature a wide 2:1 input and meet key standards for medical devices. Target applications include, but are not limited to, x-ray, blood analysis, vision test, and tomography equipment.
Power products in medical devices can potentially pose a shock risk to patients, and harmful leakage currents can contact an operator or patient in a weakened state. IEC 60601-1-compliant products are designed with patient protection in mind and limit their leakage current to a prescribed level. The MTWA4 DC/DC converter provides 2xMOPP per IEC 60601-1 safety standards, 5000 VAC input-to-output isolation, and a low leakage current of 2 µA
Available in miniature DIP16 (0.95" x 0.57" x 0.41") and SMD16 (0.95" x 0.57" x 0.40") packages, MTWA4 DC/DC converters are particularly suitable for use in low-power portable devices. The converter covers input ranges of 4.5 VDC to 12 VDC, 9 VDC to 18 VDC, 18 VDC to 36 VDC, and 36 VDC to 75 VDC. Additional features include efficiency as high as 82 percent; overvoltage, short circuit, and undervoltage protection; and RoHS compliance to 2011/65/EU.
