Image of TDK-Lambda's Z+ Series Power SuppliesTDK-Lambda’s Z+ high-density, 2 U format, bench-top and rack-mountable power supplies are designed to meet the demands of a wide variety of ATE, laboratory and OEM applications, including test and measurement, semiconductor burn-in, component test, LED/laser test, RF amplifiers, electromagnetic, and electrochemical.

The Z+ models can provide between 200 W to 800 W of output power with output voltages from 0 VDC to 650 VDC and output currents up to 72 A. The Z+ devices are 33% smaller and 40% lighter than the previous generation (ZUP series) and similar products, thus providing a 49% increase in power density. The standard models are only 3.27" high by 2.76" wide, so up to 6 units can be installed in the optional 19" rack housing and blanking plates are available for unused slots. Options for front panel output-jacks and multiple-unit housings are available for bench-top applications.

  • Test and Measurement
    • Built-in last-setting memory based on flash memory; no battery or capacitor backup simplifies test design and requirements.
    • Built-in RS-232/RS-485 gives maximum system flexibility along with 0 V to 5 V and 0 V to 10 V selectable analog programming.
    • Wide range of available inputs allows testing of many different devices.
  • Semiconductor Burn-in
    • Safe-start mode ENABLED to re-start at output OFF to protect load.
    • Wide range input (85 VAC to 265 VAC) with active power factor correction rides through input transients easily.
  • Component Test
    • High power density, zero-stacking, and single-wire parallel operation give maximum system flexibility.
  • Laser Diode
    • OVP is directly set on voltage display, assuring accurate protection settings.
    • Fast constant current response with no over-shoot.
    • Current limit FoldBack assures load is protected from current surges.
  • Heater Supplies
    • Smooth, reliable encoders enhance front panel control.
    • Remote analog programming is user selectable at 0 V to 5 V or 0 V to 10 V.
  • RF Amplifiers and Magnets
    • Robust design assures stable operation under a wide variety of loads, with high linearity in voltage and current modes.
