Image of Traco Power's TEN 40E and TEN 40WIE SeriesTRACO Power's next-generation 40 W DC/DC converters were developed to maximize performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in the industry-standard 2" x 1" footprint. Features include six-sided metal shielding, remote on/off, and output voltage trim functions with certification to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 with either a 2:1 input (TEN 40E) or 4:1 input (TEN 40WIE) range.

Efficiencies up to 93% allow minimal heat-loss and a full-load convection-cooled operation of -40°C to +70°C ambient (model dependent) and operation up to +85°C with derating. The MTBF has been extended to <1.2 million hours according to MIL-HDBK-217F and is protected against short circuit, overvoltage, and overtemperature. Typical applications include industrial equipment, instrumentation, and any distributed power architecture where space is critical on the PCB.
