JVA Series Industrial and Renewable Energy DC/DC Converters
XP Power's 15 W and 40 W DC/DC converters for renewable energy applications and high voltage conversion
XP Power’s JVA15 and JVA40 series of DC/DC converters are designed for renewable energy and high voltage industrial applications. Operating from an ultrawide input range of 200 VDC to 1500 VDC, the JVA series provides a regulated DC
output with a choice of 5 VDC at 10 W, 12 VDC, 15 VDC, or 24 VDC at either 15 W or 40 W of output power. All models provide a tightly regulated output and are designed with 4000 VAC isolation tested for 60 seconds.
The fully encapsulated modules have a plastic case, low profile, and offer PCB pin connections for the standard models or screw terminals for the optional -D DIN rail option. Both power ranges of the JVA series measure 4.92” x 2.95” x 1.57” (125.0 mm x 75.0 mm x 40.0 mm); the optional DIN rail mount models (-D) are 5.07" x 4.01" x 1.92" (129.0 mm x 102.0 mm x 49.0 mm).
The JVA series have safety agency approvals per EN62109 for photovoltaic power systems and UL1741/CSA-C22.2 No. 107-1 for distributed energy resources. Both conducted and radiated EMI emissions meet EN55022 Class A limits with additional components. The DIN rail models offer an EMI filter option when the -DF suffix is used. The JVA series are convection cooled and can operate over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +70°C and require minimal derating at 5 km operating altitude.
