Solutions for PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) I/O Modules

This tutorial will cover I/O modules that are used to interface with sensors/actuators on the factory floor. The I/O modules must meet stringent electrical specifications and can be classified into current, voltage and digital input/output types. Challenges that designers face in conditioning and converting these signals along with solutions to these challenges will be explored. These I/O modules communicate over industrial fieldbuses. Therefore, this module will also cover processors and interface solutions for communication fieldbuses in industrial automation.
