IP stands for International Protection Rating or Ingress Protection Rating. These fans are used when there is a need to protect them from the environment in which they operate. The IP rating consists of the letters “IP” followed by two digits. The first digit indicates the level of protection against solid objects while the second digit indicates the level of protection against moisture.
