The surface mount headers are RoHS compliant and available in top (straight) entry, side (right angle) entry and top (straight) entry type with a boss to assist in positioning the header on the PCB. They are fully shrouded to provide header contact protection and to provide guidance for the mating connector with solder tabs provided for additional mechanical stability. SMT headers are provided on embossed tape for automatic insertion equipment. The header contacts are gold plated over a nickel-undercoated phosphor-bronze-copper alloy base material.
