Analog Devices' LTC4070 is an easy-to-use shunt battery charger system IC for Li-Ion/Polymer batteries, coin cells, or thin film batteries. With its 450nA operating current, the IC protects batteries and charges them from previously unusable, low-current intermittent charging sources such as piezo-electric elements, or continuous sources such as solar cells. The LTC4070 also features 1% float accuracy over the full temperature and shunt current range and pin-selectable float voltage options of 4.0V, 4.1V, and 4.2V.
