TDK’s Conductive Epoxy capacitors are offered in EIA case sizes ranging from 0402 to 1210, capacitance ratings up to 10mF, and in voltage ratings from 25V to 100V. It is available in EIA class 1 and 2. Therefore, temperature characteristics such as C0G, X7R, and X8R are available. The Conductive Epoxy series is also compliant with the automotive industry’s CDF-AEC-Q-200 requirements. For energy saving and lead-free purposes, an alternative mounting technology is required in place of solder mounting. Conductive glue mounting can be utilized, but the traditional product would not meet the price requirements expected by the market. This was due to the use of precious metals in the inner electrode, such as palladium and silver palladium for the terminal electrode. TDK’s Conductive Epoxy uses the base metal nickel as the inner electrode, a copper base, and the silver-palladium-copper for the terminal electrode. This produces higher reliability, reduces financial cost, and reduces the risk of silver migration.
