Tripp Lite offers two PowerVerter PV inverter models. Unlike the APS inverter/chargers discussed in previous slides, PV inverters are designed exclusively for mobile applications. PV inverters draw power directly from a vehicle’s or boat’s starting battery (which is charged by the engine), allowing users to operate office or household devices while on the road or on the open water. PVINT375 provides 375 W of continuous power and includes a lighter plug for convenient connection. PVX700 features direct connection to a vehicle or boat battery in order to provide a high output level (700 W continuous) that vehicle/boat DC systems are not designed to accommodate. Both models feature a universal AC outlet that accepts most plug types.
