The maxiGRIP system features an industry exclusive design which marries a RoHS compliant, 300 Series, stainless steel spring clip with the plastic frame clip. The spring clip’s double “M” configuration (or geometry) distributes the force on the component and spreads the load over a larger surface area. It has been specifically designed and tuned to apply even pressure for components of varying component heights. This allows for the phase change material to “flow” properly, resulting in minimal inter-facial resistance and low thermal impedance. The controlled pressure prevents cracking of the die or ball grid array and a low stress installation tool is available to minimize the risk of damaging the component.
