Shown here is the efficiency plot of the PR788 reference design at different line voltages. At high power, the input voltage variation has very little influence on the efficiency which averages 90% ±2%. In the lower power range, the efficiency in the worst case is still above 85%. This design would meet any energy star compliance levels.
