During Design Validation Testing, whether a new product design or a revision to an existing product, the product will undergo various initial tests such as Full Signal Analysis, Compatibility Testing, Thermal/Environmental Testing, Voltage Marginal vs. Temperature testing and “Shmoo” plotting. Typically, a “4 Corners” worst case Voltage-Temperature combination test is used to bring out defects in the components or DIMMs. The Periodic Regression Test or Re-Test, includes a subset of the tests performed during initial testing. This subset of tests includes ASL, PNR Validation, PNR configuration, PNR Die Qualification, and PNR Express.
