Pimoroni Speaker pHAT | DigiKey Daily

The Pimoroni Speaker pHAT is an easy way to add audio to Raspberry Pi projects. The Speaker pHAT is a kit the size of a Pi zero and is compatible with most Raspberry Pi models. It includes a Maxim MAX98357A amplifier, which integrates an I2S interface, a DAC, and class D amplifier. The IC sums stereo input into a mono output and drives the tiny 8 Ω, 2 W Mylar speaker. The speaker mounts behind the board, with holes routed to channel sound through the board. The board also includes a 10 LED bar graph and LED driver to display sound level. All functions are supported and automatically configured with a one-line installer.
