The L6205 series has a peak current rating of 5.6 A, while the L6225 series has a peak current rating of 2.8 A. The L6205 and L6225 are dual bridge power stages able to drive one stepper or two DC motors. They are fully protected, with embedded current cross conduction, thermal protection and overcurrent protection. The freewheeling protection diodes are also embedded, along with the charge pump. The operating voltage is from 8 to 52 V. The operating frequency reaches up to 100 kHz using BCD technology. These characteristics are common to the powerSPIN family.
