PSK and VOF AC/DC Power Supplies Provide Efficiency and a Power Boost Option

CUI’s PSK-S25B, PSK-S60B, VOF-S25B, and VOF-S60B series offer optional innovative Power Boost technology and 25 W to 60 W of continuous power. These highly efficient AC/DC power supplies comply with UL/EN/IEC 62368-1 requirements. The PSK-S25B and VOF-S25B are additionally designed to meet the UL/EN/IEC 60335-1 household standard. The PSK-S25B and PSK-S60B come in an encapsulated package, while the VOF-S25B and VOF-S60B come in an open frame package.

CUI’s Power Boost technology provides twice the rated power for a maximum of 10 seconds. Doubling the rated current means these AC/DC power supplies can support large transient loads, allowing users to design for nominal rather than peak power. They are ideal for applications where the peak power requirement is far greater than the average power requirement. Some examples of these applications include starting motors, charging capacitors, quickly heating objects, intermittent test loads, strobing lights, and bursts of sound.
