ESD Transient Voltage Suppressors – TVSA/TVSL Series

Eaton's TVSA and TVSL series TVS diode ESD bidirectional protection suppressors offer withstand ratings of up to 25 kV in EIA 0201 and 0402 packages. The 0201 pad layout is compatible with DFN0603 TVS products but offers improved solder connection reliability and inspection. They are available with working voltage ratings from 3 V_DC to 12 V_DC and have low clamping voltage to ensure effective protection. The ultra-compact footprint and cost-effective nature make the TVSA and TVSL TVS diode ESD suppressors ideal for a wide range of consumer, industrial, medical, and energy applications.

The location in the circuit for the ESD suppression TVS diode should be carefully determined. For better performance, the device should be placed as close to the signal input as possible and ahead of any other components. Due to the high current associated with an ESD event, it is recommended to use a "0-stub" pad design (pad directly on the signal/data line and second pad directly on common ground).
