GCT's connector range offers breakthrough USB Type-C® connectors for charging-focused applications

Image of GCT's USB Type-C® Sockets GCT's USB Type-C connectors are available in 6- and 16-pin configurations for engineers to use the Type-C format in cost-conscious product designs where pricing was previously prohibitive compared to micro USB or DC sockets.

GCT has enhanced its range of USB products with a cost-effective next-generation vertical Type-C series for power-only and USB2.0 applications. Available in 6- and 16-pin options, the series has been developed to help customers reduce their BOM costs by selecting the exact level of functionality required for their application.

All parts across the range have multiple shell stakes and locating pegs with vertical mount parts also having sturdy high-temperature thermoplastic bases to deliver easy placement, excellent PCB retention, and high levels of stability during the soldering process. There are shell stake length options available across the series to suit different PCB thicknesses.

Additionally, a selection of parts are rated to 20,000 mating cycles, 240 W (48 V @ 5 A), or both for USB PD.
