Universal Rack Shelves

Hammond RAS and ADS series rack shelves provide convenient mounting surfaces inside standard 19” cabinets for a variety of equipment that cannot be mounted directly to rack rails.

RAS series shelves have a strong, fixed design with two mounting flanges for use in two- or four-post racks. Mount the shelf inside a rack to support internal equipment, or outside as an external surface or work area. Both solid and vented versions are available in three heights: 1U (static load rating of 42 lbs), 2U (static load rating of 100 lbs), and 3U (static load rating of 200 lbs). They are available in depths ranging from 7” to 24”.

ADS series shelves are secured with four-post mounting flanges and are telescoping and adjustable to fill the entire depth of a rack, with the largest shelf extending to 42” deep. Solid or vented shelves can be installed with the tray facing up or down to accommodate space requirements. While most sizes have a recommended static load rating of 330 lbs, support bars (part number ADSB) can be added beneath the shelf to increase weight rating to 550 lbs. This is especially useful for segmented or dynamic loads.
