har-flex® Hybrid: Space Saving Power Solutions for the PCB

HARTING extends its established har-flex product range with power contacts capable of up to 18 A per pin. Connectors are available as either power or hybrid (combined power and signal) versions. Power contacts are on a 2.54 mm pitch, whereas standard har-flex is 1.27 mm. The high current contacts can be delivered as SMT or through-hole versions, whereas standard har-flex is only SMT. A variety of pin counts with male and female connectors are available in both straight and right-angle orientation.

A unique feature of the har-flex family and the modular manufacturing concept is the combination of signal and power contacts. This combination makes possible compact and versatile connection solutions, which are ideal for miniaturized PCB systems. har-flex Hybrid connectors are available in straight and angled versions and can be used in parallel (mezzanine) board, extender card, and motherboard-to-daughtercard configurations. The har-flex Hybrid combination eliminates the use of separate power and signal connectors on the board. Both lifelines are thereby combined in a single space-saving connection. Hybrid connectors are offered with power and signal pin counts of 2+8, 4+16, 6+26, and 8+36. By using hybrid connectors, space and effort can be saved on a PCB, ideal for modular IO systems and other control applications.
