Ideal-tek’s PTFE coated tweezers have a solvent-based liquid coating formulated with special blends of fluoropolymers and other high-performance resins to improve toughness and abrasion resistance at extreme conditions.

The PTFE coating reduces the rate of heat during critical cryo work and reduces the corrosive action of acids and bases on tweezers tips. PTFE coated tweezers are recommended when specimen material is fragile or needs scratch resistance.

Nonstick
Low coefficient of friction
Operates continuously at temperatures up to +150°C
Can be used for intermittent service up to +200°C
Cryogenic stability at temperatures as low as -270°C/-454°F

Nonwetting
Unique electrical properties such as high dielectric strength, low dissipation factor, and very high surface resistivity
Increased chemical resistance to diluted acids, diluted and concentrated alkalis, and organic solvents
