FAKRA Stamped-Body Connectors
Molex's stamped-body connectors provide ease of use without additional tooling investment
Molex's FAKRA stamped-body connectors feature an automated mounting capability and a lightweight design that is suitable for a wide variety of automotive applications. Their mechanical keying and color-coding aspects ensure a proper connection in every application. Industry-standard indent-crimp terminal tools (Daniels AFM8) provide ease of use without additional tooling investment and are ideal for low-volume applications. These connectors use special crimp dies and are ideal for bench-top or pneumatic crimping machines. The cost-effective FAKRA connector is ideal for high-volume applications, and a frequency range up to 6 GHz makes these connectors ideal for wireless and GPS applications. Molex’s stamped-body version also mates with the original FAKRA PCB jacks and provides backward compatibility to existing components to minimize additional cost.
