MAX31331/MAX31334 Ultra-Low-Power Real-Time Clocks (RTC)

ADI's MAX31331 and MAX31334 ultra-low-power RTCs are devices that consume ultra-low-power time-keeping current, extending battery life. They support a wide range of crystals with any capacitive loading (C_L) spec, which broadens the pool of usable crystals for this device. This device is accessed through an I²C serial interface.

The MAX31331SHLD# and MAX31334SHLD# shield evaluation kits (EV kits) are fully assembled and tested PCBs to evaluate the MAX31331 and MAX31334 ultra-low power, low-cost, RTCs. The shields operate from a single supply (either from USB or an external power supply), and the onboard crystal provides a 32.768 kHz clock signal. The devices are accessed through an I²C serial interface provided by a MAX32625PICO board connected to a PC by a USB port.
