Image of BeagleBoard's BeagleV-Fire® After a very successful launch of the BeagleV-Ahead, Beagleboard.org has launched the BeagleV-Fire which is the next step in the democratization of computer architecture and open-source hardware development for the masses. BeagleV-Fire opens opportunities for developers, makers, and researchers to dig into the inner workings of RISC-V technology thanks to the powerful and efficient RISC-V instruction set architecture (ISA) along with its versatile FPGA fabric. BeagleV-Fire is built around Micochip’s PolarFire® FPGA system-on-chip (SoC) and features 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of eMMC. The BeagleV-Fire board also includes a 1 Gb Ethernet connection along with power input via its USB-C connector and terminal block, as well as one M.2 E-Key PCIe connector for support of 2.4 GHz/5 GHz Wi-Fi® modules. BeagleV-Fire’s compact form factor, robust performance, and variety of I/O interfaces make it an excellent choice for Internet of Things (IoT) devices, robotics, artificial intelligence, or embedded systems applications.
