XK-AUDIO-316-MC-AB Evaluation Board

 XMOS' xcore.ai multichannel audio platform provides a scalable and flexible hardware and software solution for the development of a wide range of consumer and professional audio products.

Based on the  XMOS’ XU316-1024-TQ128 multicore processor, the multichannel audio platform includes a high-speed USB 2.0 PHY, flexible software configured I/O, 1 MB of SRAM, and 16 logical cores that deliver up to 2,400 MIPS of deterministic processing power. The guaranteed response time of xcore technology ensures the lowest latency bit-perfect audio streaming to and from a USB host. It also provides an ideal platform for general-purpose audio DSP activities such as mixing, filtering, and more.

A wide variety of interface types and rates can be implemented using the libraries in the XMOS USB audio software suite, with configurations handling up to 32 simultaneous audio channels possible. The XMOS XTC development tools enable quick customization, fast time to market and royalty free distribution of differentiating product features.

The XK-AUDIO-316-MC-AB includes eight channels of audio line input and outputs over TRS jacks, along with an S/PDIF or ADAT interface with coaxial or optical connectors. In addition it has MIDI-compliant 5-pin DIN interface connectors and a user-programmable set of push buttons and LED indicators. The board also contains an integrated XTAG4 debug adaptor to simplify firmware development and flash programming, delivering a complete solution for USB audio product development.
