The RCM series resistors offer a significant improvement when it comes to traceability of leaded metal film resistors, using detailed markings that clearly show the series name, size, ohmic value (in Ω), tolerance (in %), temperature coefficient, and manufacturing date code. This is a significant improvement over traditional color-coded bands which only represent the resistance value but give no indication of the manufacturer, series, resistance tolerance, temperature coefficient, or date code.
