This slide shows a photo of the TDA5051A stand-alone demo board. The 8-pin header at the top is the PLM interface connector, PLM_IF. This connector is used to interface the I/O pins of the TDA5051A. Close to the PLM_IF header is the TDA5051A PLM IC and the 8.0000 Mega Hertz fundamental crystal. The Murata 78250 conversion transformer is a specialized component for reliable coupling and isolation with the AC power lines. The other capacitors and resistors provide proper filtering of the ASK modulated 125 kilo Hertz carrier. The power line inputs are connected to the AC power line using an AC power cord.
