Ambient Light sensors can be used in a variety of applications from LCD equipped portable equipment including mobile phones, PDAs, and notebook PCs to display devices such as TV’s. They also enable an LCD backlight to be adjusted throughout all lighting conditions which reduces power consumption and allows for easier viewing of the display.
